Only gave it five because they don’t have six.
I now have three of these spikes and they’re awesome. One of them I ordered on line direct from them and within one hour my order went from placed to shipped, and I got it the next day (I live in NC so that may be the reason for the quick delivery).
The price is steep, but these rod holders will last me longer than any plastic PVC pipe. And they’re rock solid. The only way they could improve on this spike is to add a spade near the bottom of the spike to help get it in the sand (but that’s cherry picking, a bit off wiggling back and forth and they go in all but the most shell packed beaches).
I also have one of their basket/rod rack, and these guys make quality gear…and they’re from NC,, so double win for me.
Heavy duty sand spike fir your surf rod. I purchased one in Holden Beach earlier in the year and loved it. Purchased another spike and in less than an hour my shipment status went from ordered to shipped.
I also own the 10 rod/cooler rack and these folks make outstanding gear. You may think $50 is outrageous for a rod holder, but I’ll be willing to bet cold hard cash this holder will be around long after all those other $10 holders have been thrown in the trash.
